Welcome to Northshore Networks! You, your parent, and I will work as a team with one goal in mind: to help you achieve success in school and in life.
· My role is to guide your instruction by assigning work, discussing progress with you, helping resolve issues you are having, and giving any needed instruction.
· Parent’s role is to be your day-to-day teacher, to help you set priorities and organize time, to give you support and help with assignments, and to participate in one-on-one sessions.
· Student's role is to focus on learning, complete assignments, and develop effective work strategies. You will fully participate in one-on-one sessions by talking about what you are learning, asking for help, and candidly discussing your progress.
To make this process work effectively, please pay attention to the following policies.
Attendance: Because we meet only once a week for up to 50 minutes, it is very important for you to attend every session and to be on time. If you will be late or absent, your parent must call (425-408-4189) or email me (kskelton@nsd.org) to let me know why you’re absent. *Please note my office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Make-up Sessions – If you can’t attend your regular session, we can try to reschedule, but please don’t count on this, as my schedule is normally crowded.
School Closure - We will not meet on days the district is closed, such as for holidays, vacations, or weather-related situations.
Illness – Please don’t come to consulting when you are sick. Do not come in if you have vomited or have had a fever in the last 24 hours.
Weekly Assignment Sheet: You must bring this to every session. Before coming to consulting, be sure to (a) log in time you have spent on schoolwork and (b) sign and have your parent sign and date the weekly assignment sheet.
Schoolwork: Bring your completed assignments plus any schoolwork you want to discuss or clarify.
