In short, people who learn German tend to make more money - up to $125,000 more - than people who learn other languages. This is because of the importance of Germany and German speaking regions in the global economy.
If you are planning a future in business, engineering, hospitality, the sciences, music, manufacturing, aerospace.....it pays to know German!
You will have Frau Rombauer all four years - which is an awesome opportunity for a teacher to really get to know you and help you be successful. Great friendships happen when you are with the same students all four years.
I'm so excited to see you in German class!

Advanced students attend German Immersion Camp in Carnation, WA - a total immersion experience at an overnight camp. We also visit Leavenworth for the Maifest to see the dancers, dog parade, and enjoy the beautiful weather and great food!

Student Testimonials:
"I mostly took german because my brother told me too, but it's so fun! It's a super chill class where you don't just learn the language but get to experience part of the culture. It's always a blast and you get to cook a lot of food :) Definitely take German!" -AM
"I recommend taking German because it's an easy language to acquire. German with Frau R. is fun and entertaining. I rarely have days in class where I'm bored." -SM
"I encourage new students to take a chance and try German because it often has similarities with English; Frau Rombauer is a great teacher; the German learner community at North Creek is very special and accepting of all learning levels." - HH
"I took German because it looked like a lot of fun and interesting to learn. It turned out to be more fun than I imagined and I made a lot of good friends. I love the different style of the German language compared to other languages. I would definitely recommend taking the class because the teacher is amazing and it's pretty fun to start speak in German randomly around other people." -NK
"German is the class where I have the most fun learning because we incorporate German culture, food, and festivities into our curriculum all year long. German is a great elective to take because of all the fun events we get to be a part of, whether it's a field trip, a two-day camp, or a concert...There is never a dull moment in Deutsch Klasse!" - NJ
"Originally I just liked the language, but now its one of my favorite classes. The teacher is interesting and makes things fun, even online, and in my case, the class has a great atmosphere and is full of great people. New students should sign up because the class has a good community, the teacher is very patient and listens to her students, and Germany is just a relatively safe and interesting country that, by taking this class, could make a really fun trip some day. -ZB
"I love the culture of the class itself, how much easier the language is then I originally imagined. The culture of the class is definitely the best part, we have formed a class identity and to add onto that, people feel at home in the class and are able to have their own identity while being part of the larger group that is German Class. New students should take German if they want a fun experience that also teaches them a new language and culture. All around German is a great class that won't disappoint." -RL
