Welcome to 3rd grade!
We are a vibrant classroom community! We are readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists, thinkers, compassionate, friends, and more! We are an inclusive classroom where students are kind, caring, and where they understand they have the power to make positive choices for themselves every day.

Reading
Students will transition from learning to read to reading to learn!
Writing
We will write in a variety of genres from personal narrative, opinion pieces, informational reports, and poetry. Students will also write across other subjects.
Math
Multiplication and division begins this year! We will also study fractions, continue multi-digit addition and subtraction, and 2 step word problems with all 4 operations (multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction).
Science/Social Studies
We will study ecosystems, human's impact on the environment, and more! We will also focus on our community, building social emotional skills, and study skills (as 3rd graders are expected to be more independent).
