Frequently Asked Questions
Birthday Treats: We celebrate your child a lot on their birthday! Please do not bring in any treats. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Class Roster: Become a part of our private class roster! Information is only shared with those in our class. Please email Mrs. KP at kpigott@nsd.org for more information.
Communication with Mrs. KP: Email is best. I will send out a weekly update email. I will also be posting to Seesaw a few times a week so you can actually see what we are doing in class.
Homework: Please make sure your child reads out loud and silently every day for at least 25 minutes. Make sure their reading sounds like talking and fluid. We know students have a lot of activities after school and our 3rd grade team wants our students to be able to relax and do fun things as a kid! Occasionally there will be small homework assignments, but nothing daily.
Wish List: If you are looking for a way to contribute to our class, these are materials and supplies we can always use:
Kid sized masks (for backups and if people forget one at home)
Kid magazines for our classroom library (examples: Ranger Rick, National Geographic for Kids, Zoobooks)
Snacks (shelf stable items that are easy to eat like Goldfish, Veggie Straws, Pirate's Booty, or Hippeas)
Terracyle container *If people want to pool together for this it would be amazing! I try to limit our plastic use in class and this is a way we can recycle all items. Contact Mrs. KP if interested in this.*
