The Inglemoor Chinese Club has been one of the most dynamic clubs on campus since I became the advisor in 2012. Students make friends, learn about Chinese language and cultures, celebrate holidays, and play games at club meetings. No knowledge of Chinese is required.
Our club does more than hold regular club meetings! It also hosts the annual school-wide Ping Pong Competitions. Students can sign up for the beginning level group and the advanced level group to win honorable champion titles and prizes.
The club also works with our Chinese program students to host the school-wide Chinese New Year Party. The delicious Chinese food, amazing talent show, fun games, and arts and crafts have earned praises from parents and students every year!
The Inglemoor Lion Dance Team is a new addition! Thanks to the generous support of our school PTSA and the Northshore Schools Foundation, we have purchased our own lion dance costumes and musical instruments. The team started practicing in November 2019, but had to pause when the school buildings closed during the Covid pandemic. We are looking forward to resuming practice and serving our community when it is safe to go back to school. Anyone with an interest the lion dance, martial arts, or music can join!
