WHAT DOES THE STRATEGY HELP US DO?:
Our Strategy helps us plan out what we will focus of during the season. This will also help our calibration as a whole. We can all design, build and work around the strategy as the season goes on.
Our Strategy?
Based on this year's game, Decode, the Metal Knights are using the following strategies.
Consistent Pollen and Nectar Shooting: The primary scoring mechanism is shooting the 5-inch artifacts into alliance-specific goals. A robot should prioritize efficient collection from the field and the loading zone, be capable of handling the slight variations in ball size, and score them quickly and accurately.
Reliable Autonomous Routine: A strong, simple autonomous period provides essential early points and ranking points (RPs). Focus on:
Leaving the launch line.
Shoot pre-loaded elements.
Return to home area.
Tipping The Hive: We decided to focus on tipping the hive quickly and intake efficiently. Overall, the goal was to play some defense and have a quick throughput.
Endgame Maneuvers: Teams earn bonus points by parking their robot completely within the base zone at the end of the match. Along with this you can remove pollen from the towers claimed by the other team. Both of these will be primary focuses.
