Metal Knights Team #12651

Colony High School Robotics - Palmer, AK

"We Will Build Better Robots, Team Players, and Technological Innovators":

What does the club aim to do?

The robotics team aims to grow their knowledge in Robotics and teamwork skills. Also, with new additions such as 3 middle schoolers, we would love to expand our skills to be open to more people. We also have many different skills in coding, robot design, building, and marketing.

These videos linked above tells - in detail - about the challenge and talks a little bit about what FTC ( First Tech Challenge ) is.

The Colony Knights Robotics Team is made up of middle and high school students who are passionate about robotics and technology. We work hard to prepare for annual competitions, always striving to build better robots, become stronger team players, and foster technological innovation. Our motto, "WE WILL BUILD BETTER ROBOTS, TEAM PLAYERS, AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATORS," reflects our commitment to improvement and unity.

Our coaches and mentors are dedicated to guiding us, offering valuable insights, and helping us develop the skills needed to succeed. They support our growth not only as a team but also as a community, instilling in us the values of hard work, perseverance, and collaboration.

Creativity and innovation are central to our team culture. We encourage each other to think outside the box, embrace new ideas, and explore unconventional solutions. We believe in the power of technology to positively impact our community and the world, and we are committed to using our knowledge and skills to create meaningful change and contribute to a better future for all.

Outreach Programs

The Metal Knights work to help the FIRST Lego League ( FLL ) teams build their programs and progress by judging competitions and mentoring the Academy Charter School Lego robotics team.

The team also promotes robotics in the community by hosting robotics competitions and a tech event at the Alaska State Fair yearly.
