Good communication is essential to building a team, and essential to learning. In this class, you will be encouraged to communicate with me and with your peers. There are a variety of ways you can communicate with me, including Zoom drop-in office hours (listed on Canvas), the Canvas Inbox, The Q&A Discussion, email, and phone.
I am usually pretty speedy with replies, but please allow 12 hours before following up with me again. If you reach out on the weekend, please don't be surprised if I take a little longer to respond. Weekends are my "break" from screen time.
If you have questions you think other students might also have please post them in the Student Lounge on Canvas. You can both ask and answer questions here, as well as simply share ideas. If you learned something, struggled with something, are just plain lost, are totally killing it, share it here to help yourself and others. This is your open conversation space in the class. Make sure the topics are appropriate for the course and be respectful.
Attendance is required. CRC policy dictates that students missing 6% or more of the total hours of class time (approximately 4 absences) may be dropped by the instructor. More importantly is that you need to be here to learn the material. Not only do you learn from me, but also working hands on with your peers is the key to success.
*February 1 – Last day to drop w/o notation
* April 19 – Last day to drop with a “W” notation
*It is the student’s responsibility to monitor drop deadlines.
There are a lot of students who could not get into this class that are on the waitlist. Most of them need this class to get into their future medical programs. For this reason, if an enrolled student is not present on the first day, they will be dropped if sufficient reason is not given prior to the first class. Please contact me if you have any problems or questions.
