Course Essentials

Course Description

I'm so glad you're here! This 18-week course is the introduction to human anatomy and physiology examining both the microscopic and the gross morphology of some of the systems of the body. This course has both a lecture component and a lab component. The material will overlap and it will be necessary that you master the information in both sections.

During this course will be learning about:

Cardiovascular System
Respiratory System
Immune System
Digestive System
Urinary System
Endocrine System
Reproduction system

My Teaching Philosophy

I want my students to succeed. This is a tough course with a lot of material to learn. However, it is also super fascinating and can be a lot of fun to learn. While I do expect a lot from my students, I am here for you! I understand that many of you have other responsibilities outside of school. You can access all readings, videos, and other activities through our course site on Canvas. The textbook can also be found at OpenStax, Anatomy & Physiology 2e.
FREE Lab manual: Biology 431 Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory Manual. The lab manual will be distributed free of charge on the first class meeting.
