An asynchronous course means you will NOT meet with your instructor of record. I am looking mainly for your willingness to participate and learn in our course. The more participation, the better the class will learn. Completing modules based on the pacing guide will be beneficial, but also reaching out with any questions you may have. I expect you to go through all the material that is available on Canvas. I have designed the Modules to be completed in a specific order to ensure that you are going through each page. This means, students are not able to jump to assignments directly without working through the prerequisite pages in the module. This entails going through pages reading/watching content, and completing quizzes and checkpoints.
Modules will be opened as early as possible for students to have the opportunity to work ahead of the pacing schedule. The schedule can be found in Canvas.
There is no book needed!!! Yup we have everything you need embedded into Canvas.

You are enrolled in an 6-week course that is packed with a lot of content. Having to complete a couple of quizzes is different that catching up on multiple modules. In an online course, falling too far behind is going to add a lot of stress. I don't want to add to that with penalties. Everything that we do builds on itself and occasionally we need some extra time. If you're late on everything in a week and you haven't reached out to your instructor, you may be at risk of being dropped from the course. I want you to pass this course, and I understand of life events and barriers that can occur, so communication is KEY!
