Students will experience all 6 Career Fields that are identified by the Minnesota Department of Education. By playing the roles of professionals within each of these career fields, students will be exposed to numerous career opportunities.
Online EPIC BECA - Business, Entrepreneurship, Communication, and Arts (1 Trimester)
Is owning your own business in your future? In this EPIC course, you will give the world of business a try through participating in a class Shark Tank. Learn how to bring your ideas to life through branding and digital images.
Online EPIC HHH - Health Sciences, Human Services, and Hospitality (1 Trimester)
Maybe helping others is a good fit for your future. This EPIC course will explore medical jobs throughout our community, and you practice skills that assess individual wellness. Community partners and services support all ages and abilities.
Online EPIC METT - Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, and Transportation (1 Trimester)

Construction Heavy Equipment Explorations "ACC"
Elective: 9, 10, 11, 12
Length of Course: One semester

This online course provides students with an introduction to the basic equipment used in the construction industry. Students learn about basic equipment operations and job responsibilities. This course prepares students to use concepts pertaining to safety, maintenance, mathematics, and communication that operating engineers may experience. Students in the course may earn apprenticeship hours that can be applied post-high school graduation to the Local 49ers Union Apprenticeship Program and have the potential to earn articulated college credit from North Hennepin Community College.
Basic Grade & Construction Math "ACC"

Length of Course: One semester

This course prepares future heavy equipment operators by focusing on grade construction (ensuring a specific level or slope for all building projects). It introduces students to the core staking equipment, necessary PPE, industry communication processes for interpreting grade, and relevant mathematical concepts. Students in the course may earn apprenticeship hours that can be applied post-high school graduation to the Local 49ers Union Apprenticeship Program and have the potential to earn articulated college credit from North Hennepin Community College.
Online Introduction to Photography

Meets the Fine Art Requirement
In this course, students learn about the art and craft of great photography. Students will hone their professional eye to capture the greatest moments in nearly every situation and setting imaginable using DSLR cameras, and software. Taking students both inside the photographer’s studio and out into the field, this course is a chance to learn, in a way anyone can grasp the basic insights and hidden secrets of photography.
Online Introduction to Videography

In this course, students will produce digital videos. Students will learn the concepts of storyboarding, journalistic writing, cinematography, camera work, graphics, and editing while using smartphones, HD video cameras, and advanced software. This course is a chance to learn, in a way anyone can grasp, the basic insights and hidden secrets of videography.
