Cordell's Galaxy

News and Notes

As we get into the year, it's important to practice responsibility (yes, it sometimes takes practice) when it comes to staying on top of classwork and other materials.

Students are expected to utilize their HERO folders to stay organized.

Weekly Workload

Most days Words Their Way

20 minutes of reading, Reading Journal

Math skills practice

Fridays Words Their Way, Sign C/E tracker

Students should be in the habit of completing their Words Their Way homework each night along with some math and reading to do each evening.

It is still important that students continue to work on their multiplication fact mastery. This skill will serve them as we get deeper into more complex math ideas.

Visit any of the sites listed at the bottom of this page for practice.

Multiplication FACTS!

As we move deeper into the 5th grade math topics, we are finding out just how important those basic multiplication/division facts are.

If your student is still struggling, please have them practice them for 5+ minutes a night.

Here are a few sites that can help them practice.
