Location:
The field studies will be based out of Laketrails Base Camp on Oak Island, Lake of the Woods. Oak Island is on the border of Minnesota and Canada, not far from Angle Inlet, MN. Laketrails will act as our outfitter and will supply two guides for each group of nine students and the EHS instructor. Laketrails has a 50+ year tradition of providing memorable wilderness experiences for teenagers.

In addition:
Laketrails carries one million dollar liability coverage in event of any injury to campers. This policy will cover campers while at the base camp and while they are out on their canoe trips.
The camp provides transportation to and from Laketrails. Liability coverage is also provided during transportation.
All camp guides (counselors) are Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aid.
The camp is certified by the State of Minnesota. The facilities are inspected yearly by the state to insure the maintenance of high standards.
Laketrails is a member of the American Camping Association along with the American Canoeing Association.
