General Purpose:
In this course students will study discipline specific topics in a wilderness setting. Through the process of experiential education, the students will not only learn about the natural and social systems that exist presently and previously in Northern Minnesota, but will also gain wilderness camping and survival skills only attainable in these settings. Students will be involved in all aspects of planning and preparation of the trip itself, building leadership and organizational skills in the process, along with each group choosing their focus topic for the course.
