Staff Development Request - Best Practice Project

The purpose of the Best Practice Project opportunity is to provide an opportunity to apply for staff development funding to support a project that facilitates team and individual professional growth and development opportunities.

While we are one District, united in igniting a passion for lifelong learning, we understand the individual identity of our schools to develop and grow personalization and climate and culture in their own unique way.

Best Practice Projects demonstrate:

Impact/Effectiveness

  • The practice has demonstrated impact, applicability, and benefits with reference to evidence and/or documented outcomes of the practice.

Innovation

  • Focused on increasing student engagement; the degree of attention, curiosity, interest, optimism, and passion that students show when they are learning or being taught (edglossary.org)

Efficiency

  • The practice has demonstrated cost and resource efficiency where the expenses are appropriate to benefits. This includes staffing and time requirements that are realistic and reasonable.

Sustainability

  • The practice shows sustainable benefits.

Clearly Aligned Objectives/Rationale

  • The practice addresses the District Strategic Plan, School Improvement Plan and/or requirements from the Department of Education including, but not limited to; Standard Alignment and Implementation, World's Best Workforce Plan, Every Student Succeeds Act.
