Graduation Requirements
To graduate from ISD 279, students must satisfy the following minimum requirements earned in grades 9-12.
12 trimester credits in English
10 trimester credits in Social Studies
9 trimester credits in Science
9 trimester credits in Math
3 trimester credits in the Arts
1 trimester credit in Life Fitness
1 trimester credit in Health
Classes through 2027:
19 trimester credits of electives
Classes through 2028 and beyond:
1 trimester credit of Personal Finance
18 trimester credits of electives
Total of 64 trimester credits

Weighted Grading
ISD 279 high schools use a weighted grading system that adds a value of .34 to any grade of “C” or higher earned in an Advanced Placement (AP) course, and Multivariable Calculus. PSEO course grades are not weighted. Final transcripts will show both weighted and unweighted GPAs; report cards will show weighted and unweighted Class Rank.

Credit Check:
Credit checks are conducted throughout the year during Foundations. Current students can check their credits and progress toward graduation at any time through StudentVue. A student that believes they are short credits should make an appointment with their counselor as soon as possible to create a plan to recover credits.
