SPECIAL EDUCATION
Mr. Labbe is a Special Education teacher for grades 6 and 7. He teaches both math and English, with his room located in the middle school hall. In his free time, Mr. Labbe enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his dogs. Mr. Labbe's family includes two brothers and a sister, and his parents live in Dorchester. Before his current position, Mr. Labbe taught 9th grade English at Revere High School.
Ms. Brenda Lambert teaches Middle School Special Education for grades 6-8, as well as advising the Gay Straight Alliance Club. Her classes are held in the middle school in room 133. Ms. Lambert graduated from Stoughton High School and then went on to Eastern Nazarene College. Ms. Lambert is also a historian and published author of the book "Stoughton in the 20th Century".
Ms. McCauley teaches grades 6-8 special education and has been teaching for 4 years. This is her second year teaching at AMHS. She likes reading, watching movies and plays, and going to the gym in her free time. Before teaching at AMHS, Ms. McCauley taught at a school in Braintree.
Mr. Nixon is a speech language pathologist in the Avon School District. He works both at AMHS and Butler Elementary School. Mr. Nixon moved from Eugene Oregon about 3 years ago, and grew up in Maine just outside of Portland. He attended the University of Vermont to receive his undergraduate degree and the University of Oregon for his graduate degree. Mr. Nixon has been practicing in public schools for about 10 years now. Before his career as speech pathologist, he spent some time taking care of his children at home and previous to that, Mr. Nixon was a member of the United States Coast Guard. In his free time, Mr. Nixon likes to go fishing in the ocean ( or in any body of water) and spend time near the water. He also likes spending time outside in general, camping, and watching sporting events. Mr. Nixon is a big fan of college basketball and football, the Oregon Ducks, and the Boston Celtics. He looks forward to helping students succeed here at AMHS.
Ms. Tamara Oborsky teaches MS ELL; her office is in room 133. Ms. Oborsky was born and raised in Ohio. She earned 3 higher education degrees from 3 different colleges: AA Liberal Arts from Ambassador University in Texas, BS Animal Science from Ohio State University, MA TESOL from SIT in Vermont. After earning her BS in Animal Science she served 3 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. She has been teaching ELL students for 20 years in Brookline, Randolph and Canton. Ms. Oborsky lives in Stoughton. She is married with 2 children. Her oldest is a senior and her youngest is in 7th grade. She also has 5 pets: 2 dogs, a cat, a rat and a fish. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, puzzles and hiking.
Ms. Roche teaches English Language Learners (ELL) at both the middle and high school levels. She primarily focuses on high school students, and is located in the high school freshmen hall. In her free time, Ms. Roche enjoys painting, exercising, going for walks, and horseback riding. Before becoming an ELL teacher, Ms. Roche worked as a Spanish teacher and a computer systems engineer. As for her family, she has a husband and three children.
Ms. Rounseville teaches Life Skills, Vocational Skills, and Functional Academics. She works with the special education students in the high school post-grad program. Ms Rounseville graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Communication Disorders. She also graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Master's Degree in Severe Special Education. Before coming to AMHS, Ms. Rounseville taught in the elementary TLC program in Weymouth. She also taught for several years at the May Center School for Autism. In her free time, Ms. Rounseville enjoys archery, reading, and traveling.
Ms. Watson teaches English, science, social studies, math, and life skills severe special education classes for grades 6-12. Her classroom is located in room 233 of the high school science hallway. Ms. Watson graduated from Milford High School, then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Framingham State College and a Master's Degree in Special Education from BayPath University. Prior to joining the faculty here, she worked in the postgraduate classroom at Algonquin Regional High School. She is a devoted New England Patriots fan, photographer, and tv watcher.
GUIDANCE
Ms. Christina Berardi is the Guidance Counselor for grades 6-12, and she coaches JV Softball here at AMHS. Ms. Berardi’s office is room 226 in the high school. Prior to coming to AMHS Ms. Berardi has worked at high schools and in college athletics. Ms. Berardi received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Long Island University then went on to get her Masters in Sport Management with a concentration in Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, then her second Masters in School Counseling from Cambridge College.
Mrs. Kaitlin Fuller the school adjustment counselor for the middle school and the varsity cheerleading coach at AMHS. Her office is in room 119. Mrs. Fuller received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Thanatology (the study of death dying and grieving) from the University of Rhode Island. Mrs. Fuller then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Assumption University. Mrs. Fuller has worked with high school and middle school students. Mrs. Fuller is also certified in grief counseling through the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
Mrs. Dawn Kosinski is the School Psychologist and Team Chairperson for students in grades 6-12 at AMHS. Her office is in Room 220. Mrs. Kosinski received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western New England College, a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University, and a Master’s Degree and Sixth Year Certificate in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. She also spent a semester at the University of Sydney in Australia.
Ms. Page is the school adjustment counselor for the high school - her office is Room 228. Ms. Page is available for any student who is looking for support or just needs someone to talk to! In the past, Ms. Page has worked at middle schools, high schools, and even a college. In her spare time, Ms. Page likes baking and running marathons.
Ms. Patrizi is a middle school guidance counselor. Her office is located in the high school next to Ms. Berardi. She enjoys exercising, reading, taking her dogs on walks, and hanging out with friends. Before becoming a guidance counselor, Ms. Patrizi was a preschool teacher. Her family includes a stepson, a boyfriend, a niece and nephew, and a sister.
