This is my first year as a School Counselor at AMS, and I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the middle school! I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different roles throughout the district, which has allowed me to get to know so many amazing students, families, and staff. Middle school has always been my favorite, and I love being part of the years when students are figuring out who they are, discovering what they’re capable of, and growing into themselves.
I believe that relationships are at the heart of school counseling. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable being themselves, talking things out, asking for help, and knowing that they always have someone in their corner.
When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family and friends, being creative, and finding any excuse to have a little fun. I’m also a HUGE football fan and proud Buffalo Bills supporter, so during football season, you’ll probably find me cheering on the Bills and hoping this is finally our year! 💙

School counselors are highly educated, professionally certified individuals who help students succeed in school and plan their career. An integral part of the total education system, school counselors help students form healthy goals, mindsets and behaviors. With the aid of a school counselor, students learn to develop effective collaboration and cooperation skills, to practice perseverance, to develop time management and study skills, and to learn self-motivation and self-direction habits.
