Has your device gone missing? Did you drop it and the screen smashed? Did it get wet? Did it stop working?
Ultimately you are responsible for the device in your care. We also know things happen.

LOST: The best thing you can do as soon as possible, as in immediately, or quickly, as soon as you can...let someone in the Tech Office know. If the device is on the network and powered on we can help you find it. We can call up its last known location. If you wait more than 48 hours or a month...you'll be out of luck because the battery will be dead and all the onboard features and capabilities we have for finding it will be gone...poof. You'll have to use the old "use your eyeballs" method, actually looking for it.
BROKEN: We can issue you a spare and get your original one repaired, but only if we know about it.
STOLEN: We need to know in order to file a police report. This is the only way we can get you a replacement. Ultimately you are responsible for the device in your care.
