Teen Resource Available!
AOS98 currently provides 1:1 technology using iPad devices for students K-8 and Chromebooks in grades 9-12.
Students should make themselves aware that their school has an Acceptable Use Policy. If students take a school-owned device home they must sign a form indicating that they have read and understand the Acceptable Use Policy. Please visit the Policies page to find the school specific policy statements.
Use of AppleIDs
Boothbay Region Elementary School uses school generated AppleIDs for each user account. This AppleID affords the user with a substantial amount of iCloud storage space and should be used for backups of data and documents created and stored on the devices. The schools provide the software, apps and other computing services that a student needs to complete their academic work.
The Self Service app on the iPads is where any paid app or subscription based service, sponsored by the school, can be found.
Use of Google Apps for Education (also known as GSuite for Education)
AOS98 schools provide all users with a school based Google account for email, access to Drive, and use of the accompanying Google apps such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and more, including virtually unlimited cloud storage space. The Google school account is the primary account high school students use to log into their Chromebooks.
