Individuals beginning or continuing their Waldorf teaching career


Who should apply: Candidates who are interested in completing their Waldorf Certificate in 18 months and are able to attend classes in NH for two summer and two fall semesters.

Program information: 18-month program leading to an AWSNA-approved Waldorf Teaching Certificate. Additional semesters are required to complete a M.Ed. Two summer residencies in NH, 2-3 weeks each. Two fall semesters requiring monthly weekends in NH. Spring semester requires a 12-week internship in a Waldorf School.

Requirements: a Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 60 credits from an accredited institution of higher education. Some basic knowledge of the philosophy behind Waldorf Education is also required. The Explorations Program offered by Center for Anthroposophy is recommended as one way to fulfill this requirement.

Who should apply: Candidates who are interested in completing their Waldorf certification while maintaining residency in their home location, are able to attend three summer residencies in NH, and can carry a 4-credit course load during the spring semesters.

Program information: 25 - month program leading to an AWSNA-approved Waldorf Teaching Certificate. Additional semesters are required to complete a M.Ed. Three summer residencies of 2-3 weeks each in NH. Independent research project during the first spring. Second spring requires a 12-week internship or practicum in a Waldorf School.

Requirements: a Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 60 credits from an accredited institution of higher education. Some basic knowledge of the philosophy behind Waldorf Education is also required. The Explorations Program offered by Center for Anthroposophy is recommended as one way to fulfill this requirement.

Individuals with 5 or more years of experience, keep reading!


Who should apply: Applicants with 5 years of professional experience of working in a school or practice based on anthroposophical foundations. Camphill students who have completed Level 2 of Camphill academy and are enrolled or have completed the advanced level may apply. Examples of applicants include experienced educators, therapists, administrators, artists, adult educators, Waldorf practitioners, Camphill Workers, and therapeutic community builders.

Program information: 25-month program, including a lighter introductory summer, leading to a graduate certificate. Additional semesters are required to complete a M.Ed. Begins every other summer.

Requirements: a Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 60 credits from an accredited institution of higher education. Applicants with 5 years of professional experience of working in a school or practice based on anthroposophical foundations.
