This little league group is a national organization with a branch located in the Toledo area. The Challenger Little League is a league for those with any type of physical or developmental disabilities who want to participate in baseball during the spring and summer months. All aged 5-21 are welcome.
Signs ups for Summer Little League take place in February/March. See their Facebook page for more details.
New to Toledo is a senior league for those aged 15 and above.
Toledo Tops Soccer is a national organization that has a Toledo affiliate. This soccer program is for all students with disabilities, as young as 5 years of age. The disability could be physical, emotional, or developmental.
The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio is an affiliate of the Autism Society of America, the oldest and largest autism advocacy organization in the country. We provide support, education, and advocacy to individuals, parents, family members, and professionals affected by autism across the lifespan and the entire autism spectrum in 12 counties in Northwest Ohio.
The Link to the left will supply parents and caregivers with a list of summer programs for students of all ages. It has not been updated for Summer of 2019, but would give insight on what will become available.
Students who are interested may join the local chapter of Special Olympics to make new friends and hobbies. Lucas Co. is region four.
Lucas County Board of DD can also provide information on becoming Special Olympics athlete.
