Let’s talk about habits. A lot of our mental health is connected to long-existing habits. Habits can also help us be more productive when we harness their power. James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits, says, "All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow. The task of breaking a bad habit is like uprooting a powerful oak within us. And the task of building a good habit is like cultivating a delicate flower one day at a time."
The new year is a time for reflection and oftentimes we make resolutions to be better in some way. This month, we want to point you to a great resource about habits, in case you have made a resolution and are determined not to move it to the back burner by February! When we set a goal, it can seem daunting because we only have the end in mind, but in this book you will learn that it is more about the little decisions you make every day!
