At camp when the teachers told you could come you would gravate to it and wanted to have the hot chocolate so you could feel warm. When you get it you feel the warmth in your hand and your body feels so good. Then, when you walk down the hill you see a breathtaking view of the trees and mountains and you walk up the hill for breakfast and it was better than what I eat at home for breakfast.I love being to see my friends when I woke up and have a really fun time with them playing volleyball and smash it on to the sand it was a really fun experience.

Body Paragraph:

After breakfast I got ready for the Ropes Course including the tightrope. The question is would I be able to do it?
Topic Sentence:
When we got to the tightrope, everyone was trembling with fear, but somehow, each person had the courage to go on with the course. First, we had to learn how to put our harness on, then we climbed up a 60 foot tall tree. Once you got to 40 feet, you could step on to the tightrope. When I stepped out, I tried to get across to the otherside only to fall off trying to get to the first two ropes by swinging side to side. The tightrope was down by my head, so I had to pull myself up so I could grab the next rope. I took all the energy I could muster to do that, but I wasn’t alone, many others had the same difficulty. When I got to the third rope, I started to fall back and forth, so I recentered myself, once I did that I walked to the fifth rope and shimmied along and the rope started to go uphill. The last rope was the hardest because it went up 3 feet which doesn’t seem like much, but when you're up in the air, that’s a lot. Then, I had to spend a good five minutes trying to get to the sixth to fix the rope. Then I shimmied down to the fourth rope and I flew like Superman.

After we completed the 40 foot tightrope walk, we walked down to the Leap of Faith Pole.
Topic Sentence:
When we got there, it looked like fun until the first person went up and the pole started to wiggle. At that moment, seeing the pole wiggle, I didn’t want to go. Near the end, I thought I’d give it a try because I wouldn’t get hurt. Everyone was harnessed in. I got enough courage to do it. I was the very last student to try the leap of faith pole. Once I put the harness on, started up the pole, and got on these horseshoe things to help me up the pole. When I did the climb, it took me a good five minutes to get to the top. When I made it to the top, there was a trapeze that you could reach for and I did it! I got on with one hand, and after 10 seconds of holding on I felt like a superhero flying through the air. After I came down, one of the parents wanted to try, Blake’s Dad gave it a try and hung on for a minute on the trapeze on the leap of faith. When he got on the ground I went to my Mom and persuaded her to try as well! She was scared of going up and it took a long time. I encouraged her to keep going until she got to the top, she decided not to reach for the trapeze and came down flying through the air. Later, my Mom said, Ozzie, I’m glad you encouraged me to keep going on the Leap Of Faith Pole.

this is my Adventure essay first draft
Write a narrative reflection describing what you experienced during Winter Adventure and how it impacted you. Include connections to the EL Design Principles and the Anser Character Traits. When you are done: delete these instructions, post the reflection on your Portfolio, and “turn in” the assignment for me to grade.
It was Monday, February 27th, a day I looked forward to since Adventure week was first announced at the beginning of the semester. We were going to snow school at Bogus Basin where we would be able to learn how snow was made and we were going to build an Igloo, something I had never done before. Unfortunately, we got the news that it was too icy to travel so the schedule for the day had been changed and everyone was disappointed. Then, our teachers gave us the news that we were going to be cooking and doing ceramics instead with Anne and Heather.
Before we started cooking and ceramics, we watched a video on food insecurity. After that, the entire class was asked to give ideas on what we should do throughout the day. We were all thinking about what we could do to benefit our communities. A classmate and I came up with the idea to make food bags for the homeless (this is one of my Anser traits is integrity because I am listening to other people Ideas and building off them) Then,we were divided into three groups. One group was planning the grocery list, the second group was thinking about the fruit and snacks for the bag and the third group was making food inspired ceramics. The ceramics were going to be sold in order to donate to a food bank.
In the ceramics group, Anne showed us a slideshow to give us ideas for what we could make. Following the slideshow, we started to make our food ceramic pieces. I chose to make a Chocolate Covered Strawberry. In the beginning, the piece was made out of a cone shape and a thin slab for the top. Then, I started to make the leaves. In order to make a leaf, I pinched the ends and put them on the top until I ran out of room. I also used a poker to make indents representing the Strawberry seeds. Once I finished my piece, we went to the cooking part of the day.
When we went to Heather's classroom, we got a choice to make sandwiches. Me and my friends chose to make vegan cookies for the bags. It was fun making food with my friends and making food for food insecure poep;le. After making the dough we used our hands to make balls to make cookies. After putting all the balls on trays, we brought them to the kitchen where Nancy helped us preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit and we put the cookies in the oven for 13 minutes. Once the buzzer went off and we took them out of the oven, we put them on the counter to cool before putting them in the bags.
Once the bags were filled with various food items including the delicious cookies we made, Heather and a few students went to a local shelter to hand them out. While they were at the shelter, back at school, we played board games including 5 Minute Marvel, Apples to Apples and Jenga. Following Heather and the other students return, they told us how our efforts had been received. The people at the shelter were overjoyed. We all reflected on the collective good. At the beginning of the day we expected something completely different than how the day ended up and we are grateful for how it turned out.
this is about one of the days in the the winter adventure .
What did you do for Better World Day? What I did was that I went with my crew and released a fish parr in the boise river. It was fun to see how we as humans can grow the population of Rainbow trout in our area it was so nice to see the seer and the boise river also on better world day when we were walking back it we pick up a lot of trash and it was fun for us to see what we could do to clean our planet and not be so destroying of our planet. I also realize that there were so many things that we could reuse instead of throwing it on the ground. Again with the wildlife we saw a snake and it was interesting to know that how they grow and to see them in the wild and to see the way they live it is a very cool thing.
