Purpose: The purpose of the Spa Products Project is to understand how pricing and branding affect a product's marketability.
Lip balm
This was the lip balm that my group made. The name is red circle. The ingredients are coconut oil, Shea butter, Bees wax, Watermelon flavoring, red pigment powder.
Lip balm making
We started off by gathering our ingredients and then measuring to make sure it was the right amount for the amount of tubes we needed to fill. We then melted our Bees wax, Shea butter and Coconut oil in a double boiler. After it was melted we added our flavoring and color then we slowly poured the mixture into the tubes. The ingredients to make our lip balm include Coconut oil, Shea butter, Bees wax and watermelon flavoring.
After we made our lip balm we made our business plan that includes what our prices are, our business description,products and services.
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project?
I didn't know how to start a business plan.
What advice would you give to future students about this project?
Be careful when pouring the ingredients and make a good business plan.
What else would you like to try that you didn't have time for?
I would like to have tried to make different scents.
What proof do you have that shows you learned the project’s purpose?
I now know how to make lip balm.
