How do things inside our bodies work together to make us feel the way we do?
To summarize this paragraph. She most likely doesn't have Colitis or Crohn's disease because she doesn't have those symptoms and the intestines do not look alike. She most likely has Irritable Bowel Syndrome because they look alike and she has almost all of the symptoms (abdominal and cramping pain, diarrhea, and fatigue) She has all three of those symptoms. Melanie also has a wet, pinkish whitish large intestine just like the IBS one. In all she most likely, probably has Irritable Bowel syndrome (IBS)
I think the condition she has is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) because it seems the most alike. One piece of evidence is that she doesn't have Colitis because Colitis looks nothing alike to her symptoms and small intestine. So, now we have less disease options.
Also, she doesn't have Crohn's disease because it also looks nothing alike in symptoms and the small intestine. So, now we have 3 diseases that could be it which is a very low number so we have a good chance of it being IBS. Another reason It's Irritable Bowel Syndrome is because if you had IBS you would have abdominal and cramping pain, diarrhea, and fatigue. Melanie has all of those symptoms. Her small intestine also looks very similar to if you had IBS. If you had IBS your small intestine would look very wet, lightish pink and white, and you could see the veins popping out way more than the healthy one. Also IBS affects the large intestine and Melanie's large intestine looked pretty affected from the disease.n Melanie's large intestine looks almost the exact same as if she had that disease.
My reflection on this unit!
