Rediker Software is the company that develops our Student Information System. PlusPortals and TeacherPlus on the other hand are the products you as teachers use for communicating with Parents and tracking/reporting grades
PlusPortals is your login page, were you will have access to view student information, previous report cards, gradebook and email parents.
TeacherPlus is your electronic gradebook, which has gradebooks for each of the subjects you teach throughout the School Year.
We recommend you use PlusPortals to email parents because: parent contact information is updated as offices are informed on changes. PlusPortals administrators have at their disposal an E-mail Analytics to determine if your emails are being delivered and opened by your recipients.
On the Master menu, click the E-mail tab.
Click on "New E-mail" button
Click on "Add recipients
Click on "Students and Parents"or "Groups"
Select Section/Homeroom
Select Recipients
Select Students and/or Parents
Write e-mail and send it
Click on Subject Name
Click on "Students" tab
Select a Student
View/Access that student's info.
Click on your name
Select Settings
Write the new display name under "Display Name for Staff"
Scroll down and click on "Ok" button
Login to PlusPortals
Click on "Gradebook"
Select Homeroom (PS) or Course (SS) to take attendance.
On the Attendance columns, click on class: A - Absent, TAR - tardy, NUR - Nurse, TE - Tardy Excuse
Click on the "AT: Submit" button at the top of the column.
At the end of every marking period you need to submit your gradebooks, so Records Office can know they are ready.
Make sure your grades and narratives are ready.
On the navigation menu in TeacherPlus, click on Submit
Identify your marking period
Click on the "Submit" button beside your marking period
Click "Yes"
Common Questions:
Can I change a grade after hitting Submit? Yes, if it's before the deadline (time) that gradebooks are locked.
Do I have to do this for every subject/period? Yes, you have to follow this process with each subject/period to submit grades.
