Spectator updates
With great enthusiasm, I step into the role of Director of Outreach and will begin writing the Cup of Coffee and Tea Column, following the legacy of Alejandro Estrada. For starters, I would like to extend an enormous gratitude to him, for giving me the opportunity to continue in his footprints.
As we embark on this journey together, I invite you to join me in exploring our community highlights; informing of our present so that one day we will be able to look back at our history. Through personal reflection, unpopular opinions, a community Hall of Fame, as well as interesting things to try, I hope to foster connection and spark conversation.
Your feedback and support mean the world to me as I embark on this journey, so please do not hesitate to reach out with your ideas and thoughts.
Kind regards,
Alexandra Espinosa

Sports Day
On February 14 and 15, the Bach Sports Day took place. The two days were filled with laughter, attitude, and excitement, the consequence of the sense of belonging that has grown throughout multiple generations. In seven different activities, our 4 houses showed commitment and passion with the ultimate goal of winning.
Just like any other sports day, the day is filled with memories that are accompanied by a reflection of the relevance of this activity in our school community. The event has become a point of connection to the growth of each student as an individual because the activities are very similar to prior years, yet the students participating are not the same; acknowledging how each individual has grown, in a way they are becoming a step closer to the citizens they aim to be.
The results were very close yet the scoring was as follows:

CACMUN
Model United Nations has been making history in the Anglo since 2005 and last week the 13th edition of CACMUN took place. With over 230 delegates from 5 different schools, this MUN model was an unforgettable experience for all. A partnership with the Georgetown International Relationships Association made this an even more enriching experience, allowing us to welcome three Georgetown members, one being former Anglo student Nicolas Bastidas. The three days were filled with excitement, constructive debating, and unexpected twists, that were varied with minutes of silence to kidnaps, to drug pandemis and even to alien invasions.
Round Square Exchanges
The school, being a Round Square member, allows students the opportunity to go on an exchange. This year more than 30 grade nine students will embark on this cultural journey, visiting countries like India, Australia, Germany, South Africa, Jordan, Kenia, and the USA. Currently, we have 3 exchange students on our campus and many more will soon join us.
On another note, this year Colombia will be hosting the Round Square International Conference, and the Anglo helping with the organization. This is something to look forward to as at the beginning of the next academic year, people from all over the world will be visiting us to get a glimpse of our nation's culture.

Designing the Jackets
The first week of February tenth grade students had to choose the logos for their jackets. A very exciting yet melancholic process, that manages to capture a glimpse of their personality and school experience in a clothing item. In just a few months they will be receiving the awaited 11th grade jacket.
