At our high school, you can find the following sports available to participate in: Boys Baseball, Boys Basketball, Boys Football, Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis, Boys Wrestling, Girls Basketball, Girls Soccer, Girls Softball, Girls Tennis, Girls Track & Fields, Girls Volleyball, & Girls Wrestling.
Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) "is a nonprofit that changes lives by helping schools shift to a more equitable, student-centered approach" (AVID, 2021). AVID is a great opportunity to get involved in your school community and find peers who share the same academic values as you.
If you have any musical interests, then joining the band may be a great option for you! The band inspires school spirit and pride amongst our school campus and community. The band also attend home football games in the fall and competes in the UIL event in the spring.
Cheer tryouts are held in the spring for the next school year. These spirit members encourage school pride across campus and compete in the spring at the state event. Also, they volunteer in the community regularly and visit elementary and middle schools for pep rallies.
At our high school, you will find many student groups to join. These groups encourage camaraderie and collaboration amongst your peers. A few examples of the interest groups on campus include video games, world languages, board games, outdoor survival, and many more.
To become a member of the dance team, you are required to tryout for the team during the spring semester. The dance members attend football games in the fall and basketball games in the winter. Also, the team prepares a dance routine to enter into the spring competition
