Each major has an "in-depth" add-on with ACS approval.

• ACS (American Chemical Society) Approved = more math and chemistry classes.  Better for students going into research or graduate school

• non-ACS = less math and fewer classes.  Better for pre-med or students looking for dual degrees.

 We have samples for you to look at!   There are downloaded PDF files on our Chemistry Dept website under the "Other Resources" and then click on the "Templates for Chemistry and Biochemistry course planning" link at the top of the page.

You need 6 semesters of Chem210 which is our "Current Chemistry Topics" class.  Students forget to register for this zero (0) credit class in which exciting research and information in chemistry is presented to us from scientists around the world.   This is a great experience!  

Special note for Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 = Due to staffing changes, we will not be offering this class.  Petitions and adjustments will need to be made to your account before graduating.  We are here to help you!
