Welcome

Our lab is based at the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Science at the University of Birmingham.

We research cutting edge cancer genetics, focusing primarily on colorectal, oesophageal and sarcoma cancers.

We are funded by Cancer Research UK, the Wellcome Trust, the Medical Research Council and the UK National Institute of Health Research

We also run the human next generation sequencing facility within the College of Medical and Dental Sciences within the University of Birmingham

In case you haven't already seen it, our laboratory is down to the last 3 in a competition at the University of Birmingham to fund research. We're developing mini models of cancer, called organoids which could completely transform the way cancer is treated in the UK. Watch the video on the left for more!
