Anya is a rising second year PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. She is affiliated with the Contextual Robotics Institute, and is advised by Dr. Laurel Riek in the Healthcare Robotics Lab. Her research is in Human-Robot Interaction, where she explores methods to maintain user engagement over time.

I am a fourth-year PhD student in Control and Dynamical Systems at Caltech. My PhD advisor is Richard M. Murray. I work on Formal Methods for Test and Evaluation, and Verification and Validation of Autonomy. My interests are controls, test and evaluation, verification and validation for autonomy, and robotics.

I'm a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at University of Vermont, working with Professor Josh Bongard at Morphology, Evolution and Cognition Laboratory. My research interests include Embodied Intelligence, Evolutionary Soft Robotics, Morphological Computation and Metamaterial Design.

Babatunji Omoniwa is a PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence for Smart Cities at the CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on the application of machine learning techniques to address problems in dynamic and heterogeneous Internet-of-Things (IoT) environments. He is from Kogi State, Nigeria and is a member of the Black in Artificial Intelligence.

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering advised by Prof. Byron Boots. My research interests are manipulation with tactile sensing feedback and RL applied to robotics. I am a Fulbright Scholar from Colombia, where I got my Master's degree in EE from Universidad de los Andes.

I am Ph.D. Student in Computer Science & Engineering at Lehigh University under the supervision of Prof. David Saldaña. I belong to the Swarms lab and Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics Laboratory AIRLab at Lehigh University. I am interested to study object manipulation with deformable objects (cable, cloth, etc) by using aerial robots (quadrotors).

Next door to his hometown of Denver, Doncey is going into his second-year as a PhD student at the University of Colorado- Boulder. His major interests in robotics are perception, autonomy, state-estimation, and control algorithm development. If Doncey is not doing research or busy studying, he will usually spend his free time skateboarding, working on home projects, or riding his bike around the city.

Gustavo A. Cardona received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in 2017. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Lehigh University with expected graduation in 2025. He belongs to the Explainable Robotics lab and Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics Laboratory AIRLab under the supervision of professor Cristian-Ioan Vasile.

Kaitlynn is a rising second-year PhD student at Johns Hopkins University, co-advised by Chien-Ming Huang and Gregory Hager. Her research interests include human-robot interaction, socially assistive robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Hi, I am Karan, a 2nd-year PhD student from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I did my undergrad degree in India and Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at CU Boulder. My research interest is in developing theories and algorithms that enable robots to have safe and efficient interactions with humans. To accomplish this, I weave techniques developed by Formal Methods and NN verification community to develop powerful frameworks that certify a complex robot’s safe operation and synthesize high-level strategies for achieving complex tasks in dynamic environments.

Maya Dunlap is a current PhD student at Saint Louis University. Her academic interests lie in software engineering, human-robot interaction, human-computer interaction, and tactile communication.

Naome Etori is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in the school of Science and Engineering. She is currently in the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics lab. Her research interests lie in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, NLP, HCI, and Robotics.

A grad student at MIT, researching robotic manipulation, with interests in optimization methods, and optimal design and control of manipulators. I am motivated by applications in in-space robotic assembly and servicing.

I am a junior PhD student in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests are in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence for robotics.

Veronica Chatrath is a MASc student at the University of Toronto's Institute for Aerospace Studies. Her current research focuses on Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), specifically the disambiguation of static and dynamic changes. She received her BSc degree in Physics & Astronomy in 2020 from the University of Waterloo.

I am an electrical and computer engineering Ph.D. student in the ARCLab at University of California San Diego (UCSD). Before joining UCSD, I received my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University. My research interests lie in surgical robotics, surgical task automation, robotic manipulation, and robot learning.
