June 27–July 1, 2022 // New York City, USA
The Robotics: Science and Systems community is committed to increasing the participation of groups traditionally underrepresented in robotics (including but not limited to: women, underrepresented minorities, first-generation college students, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities), especially people early in their studies and career.
The primary goal of the 2022 Inclusion@RSS is to increase the number of new conference participants from groups traditionally underrepresented in robotics.
Fellowships will be awarded to selected BSc, MSc, and first and second year PhD students. Priority will be given to students who have not previously attended RSS and/or are new to the robotics research community.
The Fellowship Program aims to help participants show up and thrive at the RSS 2022 conference. To do so, students accepted as Inclusion Fellows will receive:
Registration and other fee waivers to attend RSS 2022 in New York City
Airfare and lodging (double occupancy) in New York for the conference days
Opportunities to interact both with their cohort as well as leaders in robotics through sessions before and during the conference
Matching to a mentor in the field who has similar robotics interests
Tips and advice for making the most of conference attendance to support those attending an international robotics conference for the first time
