Carmen Fernández Fisac

Neural Engineering and other fun things

I am Carmen

and I hold a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where I have conducted motor neuroscience research advised by Steve Chase.

I am interested in volition and sensorimotor integration in motor cortex during movement. In my research, I use brain-computer interfaces to dissect and understand cortical circuits during voluntary modulation of neural activity.

I am affiliated with the Neuroscience Institute and the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition, at Carnegie Mellon University.
