Welcome to MS Science! I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone this year. Over the next few weeks we will focus on establishing our routines and demonstrating our science thinking skills.
Here is my DAILY AGENDA :)
Welcome back! We will spend the first two weeks focusing on (1) getting to know each other, (2) establishing our class culture, and (3) setting up reading expectations for the year! On Friday 8/21 the students will be introduced to the Great Reading Project (something that will continue through 7th and 8th grade). Feel free to ask them all about it on that day!
After that we will begin Unit 1 - Roald Dahl and Narrative!

6th Grade Pre-Algebra: Welcome back! I am so excited to meet everyone! Our first couple of weeks will focus on getting to know one another, establishing routines and procedures, MAP testing and introducing our new math curriculum, EdGems. For the week of August 11-14, there are 2 getting to know you activities that will be due Friday: High 5 and Graph of Me. Students will have time to work on these during class, but if they don't finish, they will need to complete at home to present in class on Friday. Here is the link to our Agenda this year.
Week of 8/17-8/21: Here is the family guide for our first unit, Sums and Differences of Rational Numbers. Be sure to look at the agenda linked above for what we are doing each day in our unit.
Welcome to Middle School! I am so excite to meet everyone and start a fabulous year! We will start our year off with a unit about Historical skills! We will review the parts of the CER structure, questioning, making inferences, and analyzing artifacts using a historical mystery as an example. Students will explore artifacts, theories, and methods used by historians and scientist to explain "How do we know History happened?". We will also review map and timeline skills before launching into our first historical time period of Prehistory in a few weeks!
Our Daily Agendas and class info will be housed on lesson Launch pad. Use your classes link below to access the launch pad (no login needed).
