We are beginning a new unit on Plate Tectonics and Rock Cycling.
Here is my DAILY AGENDA :)
*We are continuing our Unit 3 - Titanic and Argument! Students are using their newly acquired research skills to learn more and more about the Titanic! This week we will be completing Titanic timelines (in order to get a gauge of what happened when), passenger profiles (letter writing, passenger cards, debate on who gets in a life boat), and looking at the Titanic today and the effects it still has. All of these will ask students to practice using their skills of (1) identifying credible sources and (2) choosing the best evidence from a source to support the point(s) you are making. Additionally, all middle school students are going to be participating in watching a production of The Tempest by the Kentucky Shakespeare Company, and, therefore, we will be completing a prequel activity for that as well (to familiarize students with Shakespeare and this specific play!).
