Grand Councilor's Message

Greetings Fratres, Sorores and Friends,

Intuition is a talent that is explored early in our studies. It is interesting though how many people have no idea the numerous ways in which the Master Within can speak to us. Basically, any medium that we use frequently becomes a conduit through which we can receive intuitional insight. I have spoken before of brainworms, but I had one recently that was through Facebook. Yes, I said Facebook.

When I need to have a moment to just get away, I may turn on my phone and start my Facebook app. I have numerous FBFs (Facebook friends) from around the world, the majority of them being Rosicrucians.Yes, I get lots of pictures of cute kittens and puppy antics, many political statements across the spectrum, and lots of posts in languages foreign to me, but every now and then I see a post that resonates with me.

I was going through a difficult time at work and was even looking for another job. I had had enough and wanted out. I had interviewed and thought that I was on my way to a new position when I saw this on my Facebook wall…

<unfortunately, the image was lost when Google Sites converted to the "new" format>

As part of my Rosicrucian practice I ask every morning for the opportunity to gain strength, wisdom and courage, yet here I was running away from the very situation that offered the perfect chance to develop them! Having not been wiser from the start I felt a bit like the scolded school child. I now look at the current work situation as a chance to not only further my career, but a workshop for my spiritual growth. There may be times that are challenging, but when you ask for development you might have belief systems challenged, possibly even destroyed to make room for the growth to take place.

Be open to the promptings of the Master Within. They may come from unsuspected places and methods. These are the guideposts that can help you know your life’s direction, even if you missed the exit.

Peace Be With You,

Brian Mitchell
