This artwork is known as "Not Sorry Art", by the artist Sari Shryack. "Not Sorry Art" is a very inspirational artwork since its very colorfull and vibrant, I like to use vibrant and colorfull colors myself in my artworks; so this helps me expand my knowledge more of what I like to do. The aspects that I find very intriguing about this artwork are the way every color blends with eachother creating a good composition of colors making it very visually attractive. If I had the opportunity to make this myself, I would try to include in some way actual shapes or some tiny drawings in some squares to make it more interesting, and maybe making different versions with different palets of colors.
Section 3: Investigate
Visual evidence of material tests, alternate compositions, sketches.
Section 4: Create
Visual documentation of steps of creation
Section 5: Final Artwork
Title: Color Bomb
Size: 28.5cm x 29cm
Date of Completion: 6/11/25
Why: I created this artwork for two reasons: first, because of the topic, and second, because I really like bright and colorful colors.
Section 6: Communicate and Reflect
Challenges, successes, and self-evaluation of how the artwork aligns with the inquiry question.
This project was a little easier in terms of time management compared to others, as it was simpler and easier to complete. I should say, it was indeed hard to try to make a composition, which I did not achieve for the bottom part of the disco ball. I ended up liking the final product, but not a lot. The use of color, shape, and line to transform a flat surface into a dynamic, three-dimensional form was essential to make this possible. Even though I wasnt able to complete the full effect with the horizontal lines and lower area of the disco ball, I still think it maintained some of the essence of the three-dimensional properties. I'm pretty proud of the improvement in time management, but I think I could've done better.
