Section 1: Inquiry Question and Concept Exploration
Explanation of the guiding question or concept
Inquiry Statement: How can perspective drawing techniques be used to invent a believable space that blends imagination with realism?
I think I managed to blend realism and my imagination relatively well, the imaginary part is mainly represented by the giant wale in the middle of the work but also the blending of the four images, which did not look that smooth at all in the original ideas.
Section 2: Connection
Cultural, historical, and artistic influences with critical evaluation.
Artistic Connection: Artist Notes (day 2)
Personal Connection: Photos of your various perspectives (day 3)
The artist Kim Jung Gi and investigating him taught me I really need to focus on the small details of my work, there needs to be representation of overlapping figures, and that I need to focus on the natural shape of things, the lines, the curves, etc. I was also inspired by 90s vaporwave art.
Section 3: Investigate
Visual evidence of material tests, alternate compositions, sketches.
Notes and Perspective Practice (day 1)
Compositional Sketches (include all)
Experimentation. How did you go above and beyond the instruction to include your own artistic voice? Maybe it was successful, maybe it was not, either way, include your visual documentation.
Section 4: Create
Visual documentation of steps of creation
Photos of Process Documentation
Section 5: Final Artwork
Quality photo of finished image of artwork plus writing requirements as detailed in Digital Submission Requirements
Visual Requirements:
2D Work: 1 Image of Final Artwork
Written Requirements:
Title: Sky Scraper on the Ocean Floor (dedicated to Valeria, who helped me with the name)

Date of Completion: 31-March-2026
Section 6: Communicate and Reflect
Challenges, successes, and self-evaluation of how the artwork aligns with the inquiry question.
Peer Feedback (sticky notes)
Reflection Notes: Any final thoughts you think I should know about the work
I think my work turned out as I had pictured it would, and I represent the varying perspectives in the image. I also managed to make it my own by using imagery that I like, which is fun to me. The whale was my way of making the work my own. I like it, it's weird, and it isn't supposed to be there, like the New York art deco buildings aren't supposed to be behind a picture of the Andes mountains. I like that I made it work, and I like that it's kind of weird.
