Agreed with the Italian fascist movement for a lot of his life, holding ties to the Strapaese group. Later in life, he was jailed for his close friendships with anti-fascist figures for a short period of time. (how does one separate the art from the artist?)
Analysis of the artist:
He used muted colors throughout his pieces to create a sense of coherence within his still lifes. (I like the blue vase and how it makes one figure pop out of the page and strikes a contrast.
