Required Immunizations, Background Check, and Drug Screening
COMPLIO is an online tracking system selected by AC that provides details and documentation on your compliance with immunizations and other requirements for the Health Science Programs. Each program will vary on requirements. In order to avoid unnecessary purchase fees, we recommend that you do not create or purchase your COMPLIO account until you are accepted into a Health Science Program.
Go to http://www.actxcompliance.com and create an account.
You will select your program of study.
Complete the registration process.
Purchase the Amarillo College package from the program you were accepted into and add the drug screen and background packages.
If you have a COMPLIO account from another program you may be able to use that account. You can change the account over to your new program of acceptance. If you need assistance with this, please contact COMPLIO directly at 1-800-200-0853 or Complio@americandatabank.com.
Immunization Requirements:
MMR (Measles, Mumps, & Rubella) - Two doses of MMR as early as 4 days before your first birthday and at least 28 days apart.
Varicella - Two doses of Varicella as early as 4 days before your first your first birthday and at least 28 days apart. (Having the Chicken Pox does not fulfill the requirement for this vaccine. You can have a titer drawn to show immunity for Varicella or you will need the two doses of the vaccine.)
Tdap (Tetanus)- Tdap must be less than 10 years old.
Hepatitis B - Three doses of the Twinrix Hepatitis B vaccine or two doses of the Heplisav vaccine.
(There must be 4 weeks between the 1st and 2nd dose and 8 weeks between the 2nd and 3rd dose.)
TB - A negative TB test less than 12 months old. (A negative chest x-ray less than 2 years old may be obtained as well).
The local background check will be completed in your COMPLIO account. Fill out all forms regarding your background check and the results will be uploaded into your account by COMPLIO.
When completing your drug screen do not drink too much water 2 hours before; it could potentially dilute the drug screen and come back inconclusive. If your drug screen comes back inconclusive you will have to complete another drug screen at your own cost. If you are currently taking any prescription drugs, make sure to bring proof of the prescription to the drug screening appointment.
