Golden Gladiolus
Celebrating the achievements of women in the workplace is an important part of encouraging and recognizing their hard work. On March 8th 2023, the third year students of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department [MME] at Amal Jyothi college of engineering organized "Golden Gladiolus" to honor and congratulate the Women in the department for their support and collaboration.
This event was designed to recognize the talent and dedication of the female faculty, staff and students and to give them an opportunity to share their experiences and accomplishments. By celebrating their success, we can learn from their example and continue to empower and advocate for women in STEM fields. Through Golden Gladiolus, the third year students wanted to create an opportunity for the women in MME to come together and be recognized for their contributions.
This event highlighted the unique challenges and experiences that female faculty, staff and students face in the workplace and gave them a chance to share their stories. By providing a platform for these discussions, the third year students hoped to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone in the department.
On this Women's Day, we celebrated the strong, resilient and inspirational women at our college who have persevered through the challenges of being part of a traditionally male-orientated field: STEM.
Our lady faculties and students shared their experiences, struggles, and successes, proving that when women come together, we can make a real difference.
