Here is a video of our very own MJH Warrior Band students playing music on their selected instrument! Their ability ranges from 7 months experience all the way to 3 years experience on their instrument.

  • The College Entrance Examination Board found that students involved in public school music programs scored 107 points higher on the SAT's that students with no participation.

  • A research team reports that early music training dramatically enhances children's abstract reasoning skills.  These findings indicate that music uniquely enhances higher brain functions required for mathematics, chess, science, and engineering.

• Life Skills

  • Involvement in band teaches students numerous skills necessary to succeed in life. Students will gain self-confidence, teamwork skills, responsibility, multitasking skills, and an overall understanding of how to put effort into something and see the wonderful outcome of success.
