Disability in a critically broad and complex way: We go beyond, but still acknowledge, the biomedical and individual views of disability while simultaneously advocating for sociopolitical, relational, and structural perspectives of disability.
A disability justice politic: In pursuit of collective liberation, we aim to dismantle ableism in all forms as it is mutually constituted of other systems of oppression.
Together with other marginalized communities, we strive to co-create a world where all disabled/people with disabilities and neurodivergence— self-identified or not—can meet their needs and dreams on their own terms.
*The DNAC steering committee is actively working on developing a glossary of terms to help make our language and ideas more accessible. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.
