SPAIN

The Spanish school Acesco counted with two small cultivation areas, but they were not enough. So, the school bought the necessary materials and constructed another big cultivation area made out of bricks and concrete. They painted it and filled it up with compost, that is a mixture of ingredients used to fertilize and improve soil. After that, the students planted parsley, curry, rosemary, mint, chives, thyme, lavender and African daisies. Then they included a big self-made bird scarecrow made out of recycled materials which have been given a new life.

We also bought gardening tools and a garden shed, which the students had to ensemble.
