Dr. James Villalon

A native of Pueblo, Colorado, Dr. James Villalon earned degrees in Community Health and Communication from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), where he served as student body vice president and president of the Interfraternity Council.

After completing his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master of Public Health degree at UNC. Dr. Villalon then attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where he was elected student body president.

Following dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency (GPR) at Rutgers University Hospital, gaining expertise in advanced general dentistry and the care of medically complex patients. During this time, he discovered his passion for anesthesiology.

Dr. Villalon went on to complete a three-year medical/dental anesthesiology residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in New York City. There, he administered anesthesia for a wide range of procedures, including surgeries in general, orthopedic, neuro, cardiothoracic, and vascular fields, as well as for trauma, special needs, and pediatric patients.
