LOI 1 PYP Exhibition what animals and habitats are in Oman

1. Arabian leopard - This animal is a very rare animal. There are only 200 in the world and Oman has 50 of these. Arabian leopards mostly live in mountains because they are an animal that is in danger so not many are found so there are some wandering not in forests.

2. Camels- Camels are very strong animals. There are 14 Million camels in the world, and 242,833 in Oman. These animals live in deserts because they have humps that hold good amounts of water that keeps them a live.

3. Arabian tahr - This animal is also very rare like the Arabian leopard. It's called “Arabian tahr” . There are only 2000 in Oman and 12 in Dubai and 15 in Abu Dubai and about 2,500 left in the world. Arabian tahr would live in on steep rocky slopes of Al Hajar Mountains in Oman and united Arab Emirates.

5. Wolfs are a very popular animal. We couldn't find how many there are in the world or in Oman it's just too many wolfs.

6. Nubian ibex - There are 100-250 Nubian ibex in Oman this is kind like a goat but with very long and strong horns, but there are sadly 5000 thousand left in the world these goats live in desert mountains and hills.

7. Gazelles: There are less than 12,000 Arabian Gazelles in the world, In Oman there are 1,737 . This gazelle is very beautiful. Gazelles live in mostly deserts and they live in grasslands which is also common to find.

8. Oryx - There are more than 1000 Arabian Oryx in the wild, with 6000-7000 held in captivity worldwide in zoos, Preserves, and private collections. These amazing Oryx live deserts and are found in Middle East which has many many big deserts.
