Story Champs®
Story retell helps children learn new words, understand and share information, and improve their writing skills. The speech therapist uses a research-based program called Story Champs®, which focuses on developing strong storytelling skills essential for good oral language.
Activity at home: Have your child pick a favorite book, movie, or TV show, and use the icons attached below to explain the story or plot together. After reviewing the story or plot with the icons, challenge your child to retell the story without using the icons.
