It was so fun to see everyone back at school.  On our first week of music, we got reacquainted with the students that were in 5th grade last year and got to meet friends that are new in 6th grade this year.  We watched the video of the book entitled "I Can Do Hard Things."  We discussed how learning music can be hard sometimes.  We talked about how it is ok to not know it all, make mistakes, be yourself, have hard days, and ask for help. 

 We also saw a wonderful video featuring Neal Peart who was the drummer for the rock group, Rush.  Neal Peart is known as the best drummer in the world.  Please look up videos of his performances on YouTube and find out information about his career and his life.
