Here at Lake Mountain Middle School, we have a yearly fundraiser called Cash For Cancer. The fundraiser goes on for about a month, during which the lake mountain student council sets goals for the student to reach. In the last school year of 2021-2022 student council raised a total of $1500. This year they exceeded their expectation of $3000 and reached their new goal of around $6.3k. In honor of the fundraiser's success and the generosity of the students and staff, each boy in the student council graciously shaved their head.
Some other incentives/prizes include:
Food trucks
Student council gets pied in the face.
The principal sleeps on the school roof for a night
Bubble wrestling
Student vs. teacher basketball game
Longer lunch
Student vs. teacher dodgeball game
Student vs. faculty dance battle.
We are so proud of the students of Lake Mountain and the things they are willing to do for a good cause.
