Transformation Statement

Before I took this class I was one who was not interested in using technology in the classroom. One of the main reasons for not really using technology in the classroom was my lack of experience with using technology. I didn't have a lot of ideas or resources to know what to do with the technology that was effective. Another reason was lack of technology in my classroom. This year I have more access to technology and with this class I now have some ideas and resources to know how to effectively use technology in my classroom. I still have a lot of room to grow, but this class has given me the confidence to try new technologies and use new resources that are effective and best practices. This class has helped me see the benefits of technology in the classroom it is not here to replace teachers, but to enhance teachers. If I use technology as a tool to enhance my teaching then students will learn from me at a deeper level and I will fulfill my education philosophy to help students develop 21st century skills using knowledge, skills, and dispositions of my content area.
